Greene's Country Store caters to "green" clientele

The Energy Savings Store has teamed up with Greene's Country Store in O'Fallon, Missouri to bring renewable energy one step closer to residents of West St. Louis and St. Charles counties.   The store will showcase sample solar products designed to educate and inspire the store's typical patrons, who tend to be eco-centric.  Greene's Country Store has long provided products and information to keep animals happy and healthy, and carries an extensive selection of organic lawn and gardening supplies.

Randy Greene, owner of Greene's Country Store, originally came to The Energy Savings Store to discuss the partnership.  "People are interested in learning more about solar and wind, and want to see it and touch it."  He was convinced that his customers would be excellent prospects for renewable energy systems, and wanted to dedicate a portion of his store to promote these technologies.  The store will carry a complementary line of solar and energy efficiency products.  In addition, Greene's Country Store will offer live educational seminars once a month to teach people about the value and benefits of renewable energy.  The store will also offer other programs related to gardening and organics.  The first seminar on renewable energy will be held at Greene's Country Store on Saturday, September 19 at 5:30 p.m. (Additional solar energy and wind power events in the St. Louis and Kansas City areas are listed on our website.)

"This is a great opportunity for us to expand what we set out to do with our location in Webster Groves," said Bob Solger, owner of The Energy Savings Store.  "When the solar utility rebates become effective in January 2010, we expect a lot more people will want to invest in solar, and this is a great way to bring the product closer to people's homes."

Greene's Country Store in O'Fallon, Missouri is about 45 minutes from St. Louis. The Energy Savings Stores works throughout Missouri, Kansas and Illinois.
